Seven month old child taken to hospital as man arrested for drug offences in Edinburgh

A seven month old child was taken to hospital for checks on Tuesday as a man was charged with child protection, shoplifting and drug offences.

Police were called to an incident at Stenhouse Place at around 5.30pm on Tuesday, June 17 where they arrested the 47-year-old man.

It is thought this incident took place near the Tesco store in that area.

The police have confirmed that the man has been charged and a full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
