Sneaky milk thief caught on camera pinching pints in Edinburgh

The shameless crook – who is understood to have plundered pintas from the same property in the city’s Clermiston multiple times in recent weeks – was caught snatching a bottle of milk in the early hours of Thursday.
Striking before dawn, the milk raider is udderly brazen and makes no attempt to disguise his identity, blissfully unaware his crimes were being recorded by a state-of-the-art surveillance camera cunningly hidden inside the doorbell of the house.

She said: “I have no idea who it is that is stealing our milk but it is not the first time it has happened. I couldn’t have my bloody cereal this morning - I am so annoyed.
“The cheek of him. Our milk man had dropped it off and wasn’t even on our doorstep for nine minutes before the wee **** came and took it.”
The family believe the milk snatcher has been keeping an eye out for the daily delivery van’s arrival and then waiting for the doorstep order being completed before sneaking from his lair to make off with the ill-gotten goods.

Other locals have been left shocked by the images of the thief wandering their streets in the morning gloom.
One Clermiston resident who did not wish to be named, said: “It is absolutely shocking that someone would have the sheer audacity to go and snatch someone's milk like that.“Imagine bairns waking up in the morning absolutely buzzing for a bowl of Coco Pops only to find out that some cotton track suited bandit had robbed them of their calcium intake.“Clermiston is a family area these days and to see acts like this it makes you worry we are going back to the bad old times.”
