An unprovoked attack in Edinburgh city centre has launched a police hunt as they search for the victim.

Four men are being reported to the Procurator Fiscal following a disturbance in St Andrew Square around 12.20pm on Thursday, December 10.

Ten-year-old girl assaulted in Edinburgh street

At this time, the Police believe that a member of the public was assaulted in an unprovoked attack, and they are hoping to make contact with this person.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to call 101.

This person, as well as any witnesses, should call the police on 101 quoting reference number 1191 of December 10.
