Teenage girls charged following youth disorder
Officers from Midlothian Community Action Team have been carrying out enquiries into the recent disorder in Dalkeith town centre caused by various youths.
As a result of issues with Lothian Bus Services being targeted, teenage girls have been identified and charged.
A 14-year-old was charged with two instances of culpable and reckless conduct and a shopli fting. She will be reported to the Youth Justice Officer.
A 16-year old female was also charged with two instances of culpable and reckless c onduct and released with a bail curfew condition to remain within her home address between 7pm and 7am.
Midlothian Area Commander, Arron Clinkscales, said: "This behaviour will not be accepted and the police will act robustly to deal with all incidents of this nature."
