Police have confirmed to the Edinburgh Evening News that a 15-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl were arrested after a fight between a group of youths broke out in the Meadows last night.

Officers were called after hearing reports of a disturbance between a group of people at about 6:10pm on Monday evening.

A concerned resident said they spotted about “five or six police vehicles” in the area.

By the time officers had arrived, the group of youths had split up and police confirmed today that two arrests were made but no one was injured in the disturbance.

The 15-year-old male was released and the 14-year-old girl was sent home and a youth offending report was submitted.
