Two women distracted a 91-year-old before stealing an envelope containing cash from her handbag.
The incident took place within a shop in Shandwick Place on Monday, December 16h.

Hide AdLater that same day at the Christmas Market, two women reached into the handbag of a 68-year-old woman and took her purse.
Two women, aged 24 and 28, have been arrested and charged in connection with the thefts.
Inspector Trish Robertson from the West End Police Station said: “Our officers worked swiftly to identify and trace the two women who were responsible for these thefts. They were arrested, charged and held in custody to appear at court on Tuesday.
"As well as officers on patrol in the city centre, we have our Pop-Up Police Station which you can visit for any general crime prevention advice. Our officers there will be handing out 'purse bells' between 11am and 2pm which you can attach to your purse or bag which helps alert you of any movement if someone is trying to steal them. Please report any suspicious behaviour and remain vigilant when you’re out and about.
