A road sweeper vehicle toppled over in the middle of a busy, central street causing traffic disruption.

Footage shows the machine on its side after it overturned in South Charlotte Street in Edinburgh on Saturday evening.

Officers were called to manage traffic in the area, which had been disrupted after the heavy weight vehicle was found blocking the busy street.

The road sweeper vehicle was videoed flat on its side in the middle of South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh

A police spokesman said: "We received a report a street cleaner vehicle had overturned on South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, around 8.55pm on Saturday, 4 July, 2020.

"Officers attended to help with traffic management. There were no injuries."
