Why not kick-start your summer in a healthy way, and by taking in some of Midlothian’s spectacular scenery at the same time?
The seventh annual SEStran Megacycle takes to the paths and routes of Mid and East Lothian this Sunday.
This well-established all-abilities ride runs through some of the most beautiful countryside in the local area.
The route - which follows as many traffic free roads as possible - starts at Penicuik.
It heads over to Dalkeith, and then follows the River Esk, finishing at the Stable Pavilion adjacent to Musselburgh Racecourse.
The Megacycle begins at 1pm. Register on the event website - www.sestran-megacycle.co.uk - or sign up on the day at Penicuik Leisure Centre from noon.
Transport to the start point in Penicuik is available from Musselburgh racecourse at 10.30am.
