There were sights and smells galore at the recent annual Dalkeith Horticultural Society Show held at Dalkeith Schools Campus.
Exhibitors travelled from across the country to display their plants, flowers and crafts to locals.
The Society’s secretary Stan De Prato said: “This year we had 123 exhibitors with 651 entries despite our dreadful summer.
“The quilt display in the entrance hall organised by Connie Wheeler was a new and attractive feature of the show.
“Also a huge thank you to the knitters - we produced 46 blankets, 27 teddies and 25 Tiny Hats. All of which will be very gratefully received at Simpson’s Baby Unit.
“Again a great entry from the youngsters and thanks goes to Vicky Featherstonehaugh of the Wool Shop in Woodburn for organising these and bringing them along to the show.”
