Two Dalkeith men have been charged in connection with housebreakings in Edinburgh and East Lothian as part of Operation RAC.
Three break-ins and thefts were reported at addresses in Pencaitland, Port Seton and Edinburgh between April 1-15, with an Audi car being stolen from the Pencaitland property.
Dedicated Operation RAC officers from the Lothians and Scottish Borders Division have since been pursuing various lines of enquiry in relation to these offences.
This resulted in two men from Dalkeith being reported to the Procurator Fiscal for these housebreakings.
Chief Inspector Matt Paden said: “We will continue to pursue any individuals who are involved in housebreaking and associated offences in East Lothian.
“Thanks to the good work of officers working on Operation RAC these recent crimes have now been solved and the stolen property has been returned to its rightful owners.”
