School pupils in Dalkeith have emerged victorious from their heat of a Construction and Built Environment Challenge in West Lothian.
The annual event gave pupils from St David’s High the chance to demonstrate their knowledge in construction and engineering by tackling a series of challenges.
Up against St Kentigern’s Academy, they claimed the top spot in a fiercely fought afternoon heat.
St David’s will now go on to compete in the Edinburgh Final, taking place in the Edinburgh Corn Exchange on January 17.
Now in its 13th year, the contest featured eight categories including roof tiling, joisting and bridge building, with teams of up to ten competitors preparing to complete more complex tasks at the grand final.
