COUNCILLORS are to examine operations at a Midlothian waste collection base.
In December, Midlothian Council planners refused to allow Caleco Waste to amend a condition governing its waste transfer station at Eldin Industrial Estate in Loanhead.
The condition forbids the operation of plant or machinery and movement of HGVs outwith 7am-10pm on Monday to Friday, 7am-6pm on Saturday and 8am-noon on Sunday.
But the company wants to start work at 6am on seven days a week and the council’s Local Review Body has been called in to reassess the planning submission.
