Drink-driver rams car into strip bar after being barred

A DRUNK man who had been refused entry to a strip club is alleged to have rammed his car into the premises in an attempt to run over the doorman.

It is understood the man had been drinking in various establishments in the west end of the city, and after being turned away from the Western Bar, he returned to his parked vehicle and drove it the wrong way down a one-way street.

He is then said to have twice attempted to drive it at a member of staff standing in the doorway of the venue.
