Drivers told to switch off

DRIVERS across the Lothians are being encouraged to help the environment by reducing their vehicle emissions.

The Vehicle Emissions Partnership, a partnership between East Lothian, Midlothian, West Lothian and Falkirk councils, has once again joined forces to take part in the campaign to tackle vehicle emissions.

The campaign, which kicks off this month, is aimed at encouraging drivers to switch off their vehicle’s engine whenever possible. The partnership is also reminding pupils and parents to stay safe when travelling to and from school.
