A 26-year-old marketing executive has told the High Court in Edinburgh a man she knew as “Buba” attacked her when she went to his flat for cannabis.

She said she was pushed into a bedroom and thought she passed out when he lay across her chest with his hands round her neck preventing her from breathing properly. The woman said “Buba” threatened to kill her with a bread knife. She said she let him have sex with her to save her life.
