A Gorebridge plumber has admitted his 15-year-old business is on the brink due to the knock-on effect of a Dundee-based company going bust.
Hundreds of jobs across Scotland are under threat following the appointment of administrators to Dundee construction firm Muirfield Contracts Ltd last week.

He said: “I have got bills of £40,000, and £20,000 wages, but now we don’t have the money to pay.
“Muirfield were keeping money back all the time for the past eight months and it’s mounted up to £60,000.
“There is just no way you can recoup your money. Every time I try to get through to Muirfield their phones are all dead.
“But in the meantime I have had to pay off three guys, one of whom was self-employed.
“Two of them have got mortgages so they were absolutely devastated.
“I don’t know what the future is going to be. I just hope we can get some money from Muirfield.”
