Electric Man buzz grows

A COMEDY film shot in the Capital is to be screened at a prestigious international festival in the United States.

Low-budget flick Electric Man, featuring ex-Marillion frontman Fish, was written and directed by West Lothian duo David Barras and Scott Mackay, and will now air at the San Diego Comic-Con International festival next month.

The feat marks the first time a Scottish movie has ever been shown at the world-famous comics convention.

Director Mr Barras said: “This is a game-changer for us. As a small independent movie we have to pick and choose where we go, but San Diego was the holy grail for us.

“Yes, it has blown a massive hole in the budget but who wouldn’t want to be at the same convention as Iron Man 3 and the new Superman movie?”
