A MAJOR fundraising appeal by a Midlothian charity has been hailed a success.
Garvald Glenesk launched a campaign last year to find £50,000 to refurbish two purpose-built cottages in Avenue Road, Eskbank.
But that target has been surpassed – by £36,000.
The organisation helps people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health problems and the accommodation gives them the opportunity to develop and live as part of the community.
