An MSP has convinced Lothian Buses to “explore” ways of reintroducing a bus service for parts of Danderhall and surrounding villages.
The move comes on the back of a public meeting organised by villagers at Danderhall Community Centre.
Midlothian SNP MSP Colin Beattie was among the 130-odd people who attended.
Campaigners are angry that residents from Millerhill, Hilltown and Newton Village, along with others living at the ‘back end’ of Danderhall, have been left isolated since the subsidised 328 service run by Edinburgh Coach Lines was terminated in April.
