Sadly it’s the final episode of series two, and as the assorted affairs and romances are exposed, we see whether Sean (Stephen Mangan) and Beverly (Tamsin Greig) finally get back together after her one-night stand with Matt LeBlanc at the end of the first series drove a wedge between them in this run.
LeBlanc’s affair with Jamie (Genevieve O’Reilly) in this series has created more problems, especially as Bev knows about Matt’s fling with Merc’s blind partner.
The fact sleazy TV boss Merc (John Pankow) has been having a not-so-secret affair with Carol (Kathleen Rose Perkins) since series one, episode one, has meant one thing: all of these skeletons were bound to fall out of the closet by the end of series two, and boy do they fall with a great clatter.
Given the calibre of the first two runs, let’s hope there are more Episodes to come.
Stephen Mangan, who was delighted to film this run in LA (series one was made in the UK), says: “The only reason I signed up for this job was to be sitting in a convertible listening to The Eagles with massive hair!”
