After 10 years of hard work Stobhill Primary School was proud to raise its first Green Flag recently.
The 13 members of the school’s eco-committee were almost too excited to speak.
Abby in P5 said: “I could hardly talk to tell my mum.”
The committee has been instrumental in the final push to success, helping organise everything from litter picks to recycling initiatives. They’ve taken part in eco-assemblies and Fruity Friday - when they buy, wash, cut-up and resell fruit. The school has also grown its own lettuce for salad and made soup from vegetables grown in the school garden.
