Frankie Boyle to perform second show in Dalkeith

Popular comedians Frankie Boyle and Miles Jupp are to perform a second show at Dalkeith Library on Saturday, February 4.

Tickets for their 2pm performance were gone within hours, and to meet demand, the duo have agreed to take to the stage for a second Love Laughter gig at 3.30pm.

Their joint show has come about thanks to approaches from Miles’ brother Ed, a library assistant with the local authority.

Councillor Peter Boyes said: “I’m delighted that two of Scotland’s best-loved comedians have offered to perform for free in support of our Love your Library Day celebrations. I’m particularly grateful to Frankie and Miles for not charging an appearance fee.

“It’s a sign of their popularity here in Midlothian that free tickets for their hour-long joint gig disappeared like hot cakes within hours of being made available.”

Priority for tickets for the second show, which is for over 18 year olds, will go to those on the waiting list, which was set up for the initial gig. Dalkeith library is capable of holding 60 people.
