BILSTON Gala Week and Fun Day is bringing smiles to summer.
Organised by Roslin and Bilston Community Council, the festivities kicked off on Monday with a scavenger hunt in Roslin Glen, while Bilston Park is the venue for Wednesday’s football tournament.
The fun continues on Friday with a fancy dress parade through Bilston. Participants should meet at the Miners’ Welfare Club for 6.30pm. A ticket-only disco follows in the club until 9pm.
Bilston Park hosts Saturday’s Fun Day, from 1-5pm, and attractions include LaserQuest, Gyroscope, Eliminator, an assault course, Dynamic Earth, Butterfly World, archery and face-painting.
Community councillor Katherine Lang said: “We’ve been posting flyers in Bilston and Roslin because we want to get as many people as possible involved.”
