Garden puts down roots
PROVOST of Midlothian Joe Wallace has officially opened the new community gardens at Midlothian Community Hospital.
The provost planted a plum tree and unveiled a plaque at yesterday’s event, as invited guests looked on.
The Midlothian Community Gardens are owned by NHS Lothian and managed by Edinburgh Cyrenians. The project aims to promote physical and mental health by providing opportunities to grow produce and engage in healthy outdoor living.
