Gardening is good for Midlothian residents

Get gardening and feel good.

That’s the view of Naomi Knights, of the Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens.

She recently visited Loanhead Organic Garden at Loanhead Community Learning Centre (LCLC) and was accompanied by Midlothian North MSP Colin Beattie.

The community garden has accessible raised beds for growing fruit and vegetables, a young orchard, composting bay and a greenhouse for bringing on the seedlings.

To take part in the community gardening activities, the gardening project runs drop-in sessions, for groups and individuals, at specific times during the week.
