A Lothianburn businessman has succeeded in overturning a Planning Committee decision to refuse his application for dog kennels.
John Tickle’s bid to change the use of his land at 25 Damhead, from agriculture to 20 dog kennels, was rejected on January 13.
An appeal was heard by the Local Review Body on June 10.
Mr Tickle’s agent Bob Tait told the meeting: “We feel that kennels are an appropriate use for the countryside. We have done lots to the design of the kennels since the first application.”
The measures referred to include noise insulating roof tiles and a 2.2 metre high acoustically absorbent fence.
