Go-ahead for nursing home

Planning approval has been granted to build a 60-bed nursing home.

The former Kirkton Business Centre on Kirk and Village lanes in Livingston will be redeveloped into a £3.5 million care facility under plans support in principle by West Lothian Council.

The home designed by Grassmarket architect Gilberts will be built over two floors, with pedestrian links to Livingston Village. About 100 staff will be employed by the home.

Residential plans for the site will be part of a separate
application.
