Gorebridge couple’s tribute to boy

A GRIEVING Midlothian couple have set up a charity in memory of their baby boy.

Launched by Gorebridge husband and wife James and Helen Kennan, whose son died at just 15 weeks old, The Haydon Kennan Foundation will help support other parents whose babies who have died, been stillborn or miscarried.

Cash raised in Haydon’s name will be divided between the Yorkhill Royal Hospital for Sick Children – where he underwent heart surgery – and the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh’s SiMBA charity.

Helen told the Advertiser: “We want to honour our boy and pay tribute to him, and hope that by doing this, we can bring some comfort to other grieving families in memory of Haydon.

“I’m still deep in my grief and spend a lot time crying in the house, so it is comforting to think that my boy’s name will be known throughout the country – what a legacy for him.”
