Heroin dealer ordered to hand over £25,000 assets

A DRUG dealer has been ordered to hand over £25,000 after being found guilty of
supplying heroin.

Kenneth Collins, from Bridgend, West Lothian, was jailed for three years in March following a
police search carried out in his property three months
earlier.

The 51-year-old was yesterday slapped with a Confiscation Order at Livingston Sheriff Court.

Lindsey Miller, head of the serious and organised crime division, said: “Collins
was found in possession of half a kilogramme of dia-
morphine and also £1020 in cash.

“The court was entitled to consider that the income and assets obtained during
the period of six years prior
to the date of the offence
were the proceeds of crime
and to take these into
account when determining the amount of the confiscation order.”
