Midlothian Council is to host a number of public information sessions on plans to turn two empty buildings into homeless accommodation units.
The events will centre on proposals to turn Pentland House, the former old people’s home in Penicuik, and Midfield House in Poltonhall, into accommodation for homeless households.
For Poltonhall, information sessions will take place in the Lasswade Library on Wednesday, September 24, between 10am and 12 noon and today (Thursday) between 5pm and 7pm.
There will be three Penicuik information days taking place in Pentland House, Edinburgh Road, on Monday,September 29 between 10am and 1pm, Wednesday, October 1 between 4pm and 7pm and Thursday,October 2 between 2pm to 5pm.
Councillor Owen Thompson, cabinet member for housing, said: “I would urge everyone, to turn up and get along to these informative sessions to find out more.”
