MEMBERS of a Penicuik club are working overtime to restore the premises after a massive flood.
Shottstown Miners Welfare Club was inundated at the beginning of July following a morning of torrential rain.
More than a foot of water swept into all parts of the John Street building, causing damage estimated at £300,000.
Staff, members, volunteers and workmen have spent more than five weeks mopping up after the mess and coping with major disruption to activities at the popular social venue.
