Iona is sum thing special
Loretto School pupil Iona Kerr claimed one of the best scores nationally from the latest round of the UK Mathematics Challenge 2012.
The competition, organised by the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust, saw more than 600,000 entrants this year, with only six per cent being awarded the gold medal.
Iona, 14, also received the Best in School award and Certificate of Merit, and goes through to the next round when teams from 25 countries take part.
