A property owned by the Scottish Midland Co-operative Society has been described as “a disgrace” and “the ugliest building in Bonnyrigg”.
The unsightly state of the building at 83 High Street has sparked calls for it to be freshened up.
The Co-operative Society however, has deemed it “not commercially prudent” to do so.
Councillor Ian Baxter told a recent meeting of Bonnyrigg Community Council: “We have to find out what the long term use of this building is. The building is a disgrace and in its present state is easily the ugliest building in Bonnyrigg.”
