It’s all in the best possible taste for Midlothian forum.

Midlothian tourism chiefs averted any embarrassment by switching the slogan for a food and drink campaign.

To promote its latest initiative, the Midlothian Tourism Forum decided to use the phrase “Taste the Difference” – unwittingly using the name of a Sainsbury’s product range.

However, the forum and its partner Midlothian Council vetoed the phrase in favour of “Savour the Difference”.

Forum chairman Quintin Young told the Advertiser that it was soon realised that the first choice slogan was already in use. He said there was “no impact” to the campaign budget by changing the phrase – the only promotional material produced was a second-hand banner, which had had the campaign logo glued on it.
