A FUN cycle event is back on track – after railway plans threatened to derail it.
A new route has been confirmed for the SEStran Megacycleon Sunday, May 5.
Planned work on the Borders rail link to Edinburgh has shut down a major portion of the established route, forcing organisers to consider many potential alternatives.
A 20-mile circular route from Penicuik has been agreed as the most suitable option, ensuring an established feature of south-east Scotland’s cycling calendar can go ahead for a fifth year.
