Lasswade’s Laird and Dog Inn has raised £400 for Macmillan Cancer Support by taking part in the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ on Friday, September 30.
Guests took time out of their busy schedules to donate generously, and in return enjoyed a morning of pampering by choosing from either a head massage, hand massage or file and polish, followed by coffee and cake.
Guests also had time for a spot of shopping by browsing the many stalls including home baking, face painting, kids books and toys and arts and crafts.
There were also a host of prizes up for grabs including bottles of wine, beauty treatments and meal vouchers – all generously donated by local businesses.
Alex Murphy, general manager at the Laird and Dog Inn, said: “It was the perfect way to start the weekend – the feedback from customers was really positive. We are really pleased we managed to raise £400 for Macmillan.”
