Legionnaires’ widow in claim

THE widow of a man who died during the legionnaires’ disease outbreak in Edinburgh this summer is planning legal action to find out who was responsible for his death.

Jennifer Lonnie claimed there had been a “wall of silence” after the death of her husband John.

She us ready to launch a civil claim to find out who was to blame for not cleaning cooling towers. Two other people died and more than 100 were ill in the summer outbreak.
