Letters to the Editor

Councillor Montgomery wants to get a life in the real world if he thinks people are happy about the way Midlothian is run.

I am sick of Midlothian having one of the highest council taxes in Scotland and rent increases above inflation and litter everywhere, trees overgrown and never checked for safety.

The list could go on and on and as far as the survey is concerned nothing but spin and could not understand a thing about it.

But it would be good if councillors did not take expenses or a salary cut to help the cut backs. No danger there.

And let them use the bus services to Dalkeith as other people have to do.
