Through your paper I would like to thank the person who found my locket at Woodburn Miners Club door on Wednesday, August 10.
I attended the Hand in Hand party and dropped my locket when leaving, someone very kindly handed it in to a member of staff.
I cannot thank you enough – this locket, whilst not priceless, has great sentimental value. In today’s society we get a lot of negative publicity regarding lack of respect and integrity but this person’s actions show that honesty and compassion is there, bringing out the best in human behaviour.
I will give a donation to Hand in Hand’s fundraising committee as a reward.
