Man dies after West Lothian car accident

A 34-year-old man has died following a road accident in West Lothian yesterday.

• Vehicle struck tree, killing front seat passenger

The man, was the front seat passenger in a silver Vauxhall Signum which left the road on the B7015 near Fauldhouse and struck a tree.

No other vehicle was involved in the collision which happened at 7.45pm about 100m east of Sheephousehill Road junction with Breichwater Place.

Sergeant Gary Taylor of Lothian and Borders Police said: “We are appealing for any witnesses to the accident or anyone who saw the car prior to the time of the accident to contact us.

“We believe the vehicle had been heading westwards at the time. “We are also keen to speak to the driver of the car who left the scene prior to the arrival of the emergency services.”
