Man left with serious injuries in street attack
A MAN has been rushed to hospital after being seriously assaulted in the early hours of this morning.
Police are investigating the attack, which occurred on the corner of Calton Road and Old Tolbooth Wynd at around 3am, leaving the man with serious head injuries.
The man, is in his 40s, was rushed to the Royal Infirmary, where he was being treated today.
Officers at the scene cordoned off sections of Calton Road shortly before 7am.
