Man rescued after Gumball Rally fall

The 26-year-old was watching the event on Regent Road, when he fell from the wall around 10.15pm and “got stuck”, according to the fire service.
Emergency services managed to free him using a rope rescue and he was hoisted to safety.

The man was then taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with non-life threatening injuries.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “We received reports that a man had fallen from a wall on Regent Road, Edinburgh, around 10.15pm on Sunday May 1.
“A 26 year-old was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
“There were no suspicious circumstances.”
