A local McDonald’s restaurant is having a clean-up event at the Straiton Pond Nature Reserve this Sunday.

The clean-up will takes place from 9am to 11am.

Cameron Innes, second assistant manager at the Straiton Park McDonald’s, said: “We are working with our sister store Fort Kinnaird and some of our staff are voluntarily going to clean this area for a couple of hours.

“We are working with the park ranger who is supplying litter picks and bin bags.

“We ask for anyone who helps to wrap up warm.

“As a thank you token we will give anyone who attends free coffee and fruit and discounted meals if they are still hungry afterwards.”
