Midlothian’s artist-in-residence Susan T Grant is asking locals to think about their favourite memories of Dalkeith town centre for a new public art project.
Inspired by the ‘blue plaque scheme’, which acknowledges famous figures in history, Susan is collating memories for a similar trail in the town. The difference is that here, the memories of everyday people are being gathered.
Susan said: “The idea behind the project is to celebrate the everyday man, woman and child who smile in remembrance of a special memory as they pass a particular spot in Dalkeith town centre.”
