Men in skin cancer risk
SUN-loving men in the Lothians are at greater risk of skin cancer than women because of their reluctance to wear sun cream, a charity has said.
Following a survey, Cancer Research UK found that more than half of Lothian men don’t sufficiently protect themselves against rays at home or abroad.
Caroline Cerny, the charity’s SunSmart campaign manager, said: “There’s a big gap between what people know and how they behave in the sun.”
