Midlothian lass Rhian Griffiths has an extra special reason to look forward to her wedding in London next year.

For on February 1 she will marry her fiancé James McCosker-Smith within the OBE Chapel at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Famous for celebrity weddings, most notably the Royal wedding of Charles and Diana in 1981, St Paul’s opens its doors for only a small number of matrimonial ceremonies each year.

In addition to the weddings of members of the cathedral community, the privilege of tying the knot there is extended to members of the Order of St Michael and St George, the Order of the British Empire, holders of the British Empire Medal, members of the Imperial Society of Knights Bachelor and their children.
