Midlothian group goes write back

The Easy Does it Group recently had its writing published, thanks to a £200 donation from the Dean Tavern Trust.

The group, which uses creative activities to help deal with health problems, recalled their school and early working days in a book of short stories called A Trip Down Memory Lane.

This followed creative writing classes from former teacher Jim Green. The group’s founder Mary Dempster (66) (pictured above left) said: “ I was reduced to tears by some of their work. It’s really moving. And Jim has been great with them. It sure means a lot that the Dean Trust gave us the money to make this happen.”
