Midlothian house sales on the rise

HOUSE sales in Midlothian have shown a significant increase – despite a dip across most of Scotland.

Official statistics produced by the Registers of Scotland reveal that property sales in the county rose by 21.3 per cent between July and September this year in comparison with the same period in 2011.

National figures for this third quarter reveal an average sales decrease of 2.1 per cent.
