A HOST of Midlothian talent is lined up to appear at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe next month.

Among them are Sophie Bancroft and Tom Lyne, who have lived in Pathhead for 12 years and will launch a new CD at the Fringe. They will then tour throughout Britain.

London-born Sophie grew up in Edinburgh and Tom was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

She said: “We play spasmodic gigs locally and over Europe. We are members of the Pathhead Music Collective (PMC), which includes other high profile jazz and folk musicians living in Pathhead – including Martin Green from Lau, Inge Thomson, Karine Polwart, Mattie Foulds, Tom Bancroft, Gina Rae, Dave Milligan, Corrina Hewat, Nigel Richard, Jenny Gardner, Amy Geddes.”

Also appearing is Eskbank-based Patsy Seddon, who will launch a new trio at the event.
