THE PRINCIPAL of a Midlothian college has been chosen to lead the new Edinburgh College.
The appointment of Mandy Exley, principal at Jewel & Esk College, is the final link in the process allowing the October 1 creation of a larger college serving Edinburgh and the Lothians.
The college will consist of four main campuses employing more than 1,500 staff – Midlothian and Milton Road (both formerly Jewel & Esk College), Granton (formerly Edinburgh’s Telford College) and Sighthill (formerly Stevenson College Edinburgh).
It will be home to 35,000 students – 5200 from Midlothian – and one of the largest colleges in the UK.
